infoSource Establishes New Scanner Industry Segmentation Definition

GENEVA, Jan. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- infoSource has redefined the way it will report on document class scanners sold across more than sixty countries in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. infoSource finalized its new scanner market segmentation recommendation to the industry, based on months of feedback and group discussions with a variety of vendors.

infoSource took the lead, despite the challenges to bring together the wide array of market perspectives. "The market had evolved in a way that left the previous definition open for interpretation, which caused inconsistencies in reporting data," said Mark Nicholson, infoSource Service Director. "Our ability to forecast and report on market trends will now be far more accurate as a result of this new standardized definition." The new definition establishes the following framework to group most competitive products together.
