Satellite Healthcare Appoints Christobel Selecky to Board of Directors


Satellite Healthcare, a leading national not-for-profit and the 6th largest provider of patient-centered dialysis and kidney disease services, today announced the appointment of Christobel Selecky to its Board of Directors. Selecky, the former Co-Founder, President, and CEO of LifeMasters Supported SelfCare, Inc., brings to the organization more than 30 years of healthcare leadership experience. Her appointment is effective as of December 7, 2015.

Selecky joins the Board as the company embarks on an ambitious five-year plan designed to further enhance its position as a leader in advancing the standards of Chronic Kidney Disease care industry-wide through innovative whole-person care practices, cutting-edge research, and community initiatives.



Selecky served as President, CEO, and Chairman of the board of directors of LifeMasters Supported SelfCare from 1996 until 2009. Under her leadership, the company raised more than $60 million in venture capital, grew to $130 million in annual revenues, employed more than 1,200 people in seven locations, provided care and disease management services to more than 1 million program participants nationwide, won numerous industry awards, and counted numerous health plans, employers, provider groups, labor unions, and government entities as its clients. A veteran in the field of managed health care, Selecky's career began at FHP International Corporation in the early 1980s, where she held several management positions during its rapid expansion. As president of the FHP California Health Plan, she was responsible for revenues of $2.4 billion and building a customer base of nearly one million Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and Commercial HMO and PPO members statewide.

Selecky currently Chairs the board of the Population Health Alliance; serves on the boards of Teleperformance (News - Alert), a publicly held international business process outsourcing company, and American Specialty Health, a national provider of population health and specialty network management programs; and is an advisor to Ceresti Healthcare, an early stage provider of support services for families and caregivers of patients with Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias. She has served on a number of other healthcare and financial institution strategic advisory boards.
