Feddo Hazewindus to succeed Willem Offerhaus as CEO of iBasis


iBasis (News - Alert), a KPN company, today announced the appointment of Feddo Hazewindus to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Effective January 1, 2016 Hazewindus will succeed Willem Offerhaus, who will become Executive Vice President of Executive Relations and Regional Management, reporting to KPN (News - Alert) Chief Operations Officer Joost Farwerck.

Hazewindus brings a wealth of relevant entrepreneurial and leadership experience in wholesale telecommunications, cybersecurity and business intelligence. Most recently, he was responsible for leading the reorganization of the Operations division of KPN. Offerhaus joined iBasis in January 2011 as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the iBasis Board of Directors. Under his leadership, iBasis achieved a top-three position in LTE (News - Alert) Roaming and developed its Mobile Value Added Services portfolio while maintaining a leadership position in international Voice. Offerhaus will continue as a non-executive member of the iBasis board.
