Sage Corps Launches Global Entrepreneurship Program for Young Professionals

Sage Corps announces programming for young professionals to spend three months abroad working with tech startups. The first cohorts will leave in February 2016 for Buenos Aires, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Sydney.

Since 2013, Sage Corps has offered its global entrepreneurship program to college students. "We've had great success working with undergrads. We'll continue working with them during the summer. But our partner startups want help year-round. After receiving inquiries from young professionals, and testing the concept, we see tremendous potential in the post-grad space," said Sage Corps Founder & CEO Matt Meltzer.

"Before committing to a career change, I wanted to test the water. I learned a totally new skill set in an exciting emerging market that fully prepared me for my current role as an early stage investor," said Wharton MBA and 2014 Fellow Michael Tedori. "My experience abroad allowed me to build on my core set of skills in new and meaningful ways - driving real impact - and opened my eyes to a new world of possibilities," recaled 2015 Fellow Zak Tracy. Tracy, formerly a financial analyst, now works as an innovation consultant.

The program costs ($3,050-3,650/mo) fall in line with college abroad programs, and Sage Corps offers impactful work and more robust services: housing, medical insurance, professional networking events, and an online curriculum. Fellows also receive a stipend from the host startups. After the program, full-time opportunities abroad and at home await Sage Corps alums, which presents a compelling ROI compared to more expensive alternatives -- graduate programs or coding bootcamps.

Ideal candidates want a meaningful abroad experience or a career change without a resume gap. "We are also lining up recruiting partners to hire our alums, and even talked to consulting firms that want to send their analysts abroad as an 'externship.' It's great for employee development and retention," noted Meltzer.

With these initiatives, Sage Corps continues changing the face of global education and career development. Interested candidates can visit sagecorps.com/post-grads
