TE Connectivity 25G Active Optics Win R&D 100 AwardTE Connectivity (News - Alert) (TE), a world leader in connectivity, today announced that its 25-Gigabit (25G) active optics featuring Coolbit optical engines have received an R&D 100 Award. Sponsored by R&D Magazine, the R&D 100 awards honor outstanding projects and developments from global research and development teams. TE's line of 25G active optic interconnects with Coolbit optical engines offers up to 400 Gbps per port with extremely low power consumption. With QSFP28 modules performing at less than 1.5 Watts per transceiver, this new line of 25G active optics can help communication systems achieve up to 60 percent more power savings than similar existing solutions.
