Panasonic Introduces 4K ULTRA HD 3MOS CameraPanasonic (News - Alert), a leading provider of professional healthcare display and monitoring solutions, today announced the release of its Ultra HD remote head camera series GP-UH532, for use with surgical microscopes. The GP-UH532 camera will be available in March 2016 and will be fully compliant with the IEC60601-1 medical safety standard. The GP-UH532 camera will be the next generation of the company's current 1080p HD camera, the GP-US932X series, which was released in 2013. The GP-US932X series is used for various applications which require high color reproduction and high resolution and where a very small profile is beneficial. The new GP-UH532 boasts ultra-high 4K resolution (3840 x 2160), smooth-moving 60p picture and high color reproduction thanks to Panasonic's original 3MOS technology and newly developed video processing engine. The new camera will be on display at MEDICA/COMPAMED 2015 in Dusseldorf, Germany from November 16-19, and at the American Academy of Ophthalmology Annual Meeting in Las Vegas from November 14-17, 2015. Main features of the GP-UH532 camera include: High color reproduction by 3MOS and newly developed video process engine The accurate color rendition and the high color dynamic range are achieved by processing the respective three primary colors through the three dedicated RGB sensors in the 3MOS system. Since each pixel has all three-color components (R, G, B), the camera produces outstanding faithful color reproduction. Our newly developed picture engine processes color performance according to the BT (News - Alert).2020 standard which has about 170 percent of the color gamut as compared to the conventional HDTV standard BT.709. High resolution and smooth motion picture by 4K60P 4K (UHD: 3840 x 2160) pictures can be sent by the HDMI 2.0 and 3G-SDIx4 outputs. In addition, 4K and FHD pictures can be output simultaneously, so existing equipment like FHD monitors and recorders can be used, allowing a smooth transition from existing environments to 4K.
