AT&T Names Bill Leahy As President-GA, President SE Region


ATLANTA, Nov. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T* today announced that Bill Leahy has been named president of AT&T Georgia and President, AT&T Southeast.  The AT&T SE Region will be headquartered in Atlanta.  Leahy most recently served as Vice President and National Director – State Legislative Affairs, AT&T Services.

In his leadership of AT&T Georgia, Leahy will work closely with community and business leaders, elected officials in Atlanta and across the state, as well as others at AT&T, to continue to bring advanced communications technologies, including mobile 4G LTE and other broadband services, to consumers.

Leahy began his career as a management trainee with New England Telephone. He has held various positions at AT&T companies in financial analysis, marketing, and government affairs management.

He has served as a trustee of Merrimack College and on the board of directors of several charitable, educational and public policy organizations. 


In Georgia, he succeeds Beth Shiroishi who was named to the corporate position of Vice President-Global Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy and Insights earlier this month.
