Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (spcaLA), VCA Animal Hospitals and Finding Rover come together to unveil innovative facial recognition technology for pets that integrates a smart phone application with local shelters to help identify lost pets. With Finding Rover, pets now have access to advanced CSI (News - Alert) techniques usually reserved for humans that can help reunite lost pets with their owners in real time from a smartphone or computer.
The partnership between VCA, spcaLA and Finding Rover enables people to locate lost pets quickly and also find forever homes for adoptable shelter pets by using the free app and website. In a continuing effort to safeguard the safety, health and well-being of pets, VCA Animal Hospitals serves as the exclusive veterinary partner of Finding Rover.
