Nutanix Announces New Global Partnership to Run SAP® Business Applications on Advanced Web-Scale Infrastructure


Nutanix, the next-generation enterprise computing company, today announced a global partnership with SAP (NYSE: SAP (News - Alert)) that enables customers to leverage the Nutanix web-scale infrastructure solution to run their business-critical SAP® applications. These include enterprise resource management (ERP), business warehouse, customer relationship management (CRM) and more. The Nutanix Xtreme Computing Platform (XCP), a leading hyperconverged infrastructure solution certified for SAP applications, is now on the supported hardware list for the SAP NetWeaver® technology platform.

Nutanix XCP is now ready to run SAP enterprise applications on a wide range of high-performance platforms, including VMware vSphere, that can dramatically simplify the deployment, management and scaling of datacenter infrastructure. Unlike traditional converged architectures, Nutanix solutions natively integrate server, storage and virtualization resources into a simple scale-out appliance that can help customers reduce the high cost and complexity of their legacy hardware architectures. According to a study validated by IDC (News - Alert)1, customers using the Nutanix XCP reduce their total cost of ownership by an average of 58%, deploy storage up to 85% faster and experience up to 98% fewer occurrences of unplanned downtime, when compared to traditional infrastructure products.

In addition to offering full compatibility between best-in-class products, Nutanix and SAP have entered into a collaborative technical support agreement designed to help give customers a more seamless support experience when optimizing their environment and resolving issues. This partnership will also allow customers take advantage of Nutanix worldwide support experts, that rate an impressive 9.3 out of 10 in customer satisfaction and yield one of the industry's best Net Promoter Scores - averaging 90 during the past year.
