Lawrence Ng of LNG Management Joins Metamorphic Ventures Advisory Board

LNG Management, a global asset management firm, announced that Metamorphic Ventures, a New York City based venture capital firm that invests in startup and early stage technology companies, has appointed Lawrence Ng as an advisory board member. Lawrence joins other prominent advisors, including Product Engineering Lead of Square Gokul Rajaram, Chief Marketing Officer of Macy's Peter Sachse, CEO of HSN Inc. Mindy Grossman, and MasterCard (News - Alert) U.S. Emerging Payments lead Mario Shiliashki. Working with the leadership of Metamorphic Ventures, the advisory board helps grow game-changing companies that are in massive markets.

Metamorphic's strong bi-coastal relationships give it a first-look at proprietary deals and co-investment opportunities with top West Coast firms such as Google (News - Alert) Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and Benchmark Capital. The firm's latest fund, Metamorphic Ventures II, has invested in some of the most innovative companies, such as crowd funding platform Indiegogo, fantasy e-sports platform AlphaDraft, and legal service online marketplace UpCounsel.

Metamorphic Ventures co-founder David Hirsch brings 15 years of business development and operational experience to the table. David spent eight years at Google overseeing cross-functional and cross-business responsibilities after he was brought on as employee #2 in Google's New York headquarters. David then launched and spearheaded the company's monetization strategy by co-founding Google's Verical Markets Group and wiring the regional sales team structure.

Lawrence is an entrepreneur, leading LNG Management, an asset management firm focusing on global opportunities in commercial real estate, private and public markets and venture capital. From 2008 to 2015, he served as Chairman of the Board of Oversee.net, a company he co-founded at the age of 21 and led as its CEO until 2008. He grew Oversee from a start-up to a leader in internet services and online consumer businesses with over $200 million in revenues. Lawrence liquidated his interest in Oversee.net when Oak Hill invested $150 million in the company.

"We continue to add talented and accomplished individuals to our advisory board," noted David Hirsch, co-founder and general partner of Metamorphic Ventures. "Lawrence has successfully built companies both here and in Asia, giving us access to startups in new markets. Our network of advisors and partners are deeply involved in our portfolio companies, adding value and driving long-term success."

Lawrence won the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2007 award for the Greater Los Angeles program in the technology category. Oversee.net was named to the Inc. 500 and ranked in the Deloitte (News - Alert) Technology Fast 50. The company was also named "Internet and New Media Company of the Year" by the Technology Council of Southern California and was the third fastest growing private company in Los Angeles as ranked by the Los Angeles Business Journal.

Lawrence is also incubating a number of startups and selectively invests in early stage startups and funds focused on developing the next generation of solutions to real world problems.
