ICF International Awarded $7 Million Task Order by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

ICF International (News - Alert) (NASDAQ:ICFI), a leading provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, was recently awarded a new task order by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Center for Surveillance, Epidemiology, and Laboratory Services, Division of Scientific Education and Professional Development (DSEPD). The task order, which was issued under the CDC Information Management Services (CIMS) contract, has a value of $7.1 million and a term of four years, including one base and three option years.

DSEPD's mission is to "improve health outcomes through a competent, sustainable, and empowered public health workforce." It fulfills this mission by offering a range of internationally recognized educational and fellowship training programs that support professional development across an array of public health-related disciplines. Managing the fellowship application process and providing continuing support to the fellows is essential to the success of these fellowship programs, and to preparing the global workforce to meet 21st century public health challenges.

ICF will facilitate the development, delivery and maintenance of the systems that support DSEPD's fellowship activities and ensure these systems are readily accessible to the global public health community. This includes managing two of its most critical systems: the Fellowship Management System and the Training and Continuing Education Online System.

To this work, ICF brings demonstrated experience in Agile (News - Alert) delivery processes, the ability to manage concurrent development and operations and maintenance, expertise in systems architecture and user experience and extensive knowledge of the CDC environment from multiple engagements with DSEPD.

"ICF is committed to supporting U.S. Department of Health and Human Services clients as they seek to improve health outcomes. We help them determine what information they need, and what impact the collected information will have on decision-making, by employing our Health Informatics (News - Alert) Delivery Model," said Mary Whitley, senior vice president for ICF International. "Using the latest technology and rigorous strategic planning, we help capture, analyze and share the information that clients need to achieve their missions and demonstrate the value of their health initiatives."

"ICF's goal is to provide clients with game changing informatics services and enabling technologies that expand and improve public health surveillance, public health practice, research and education," said Randy Rutledge, vice president for ICF International. "We have supported the CDC on a number of its surveillance programs and are pleased to have been selected for this important engagement."
