TechCrunch Disrupt San Francisco 2015 Announces Startup Battlefield Competitors

TechCrunch today announced the 25 competitors for the Startup Battlefield at this year's TechCrunch Disrupt San Francisco. Each year, the conference brings together tech titans, noted thought-leaders and experienced entrepreneurs to offer unique insights into industry topics-of-the-moment - and to highlight the best and brightest of the year's new startups.

TechCrunch Disrupt - depicted recently on television's hit show "Silicon Valley" -- happens in front of a rapt audience at San Francisco's Pier 70. Startup Battlefield gathers emerging companies to demo on a worldwide stage. From Monday, September 21st, through Wednesday, September 23rd, competitors will pitch their products live on the Disrupt stage in front of a panel of Silicon Valley's finest, including venture capitalists, notable tech influencers and tried and tested innovators, for a shot at a $50,000 prize and the Disrupt Cup. Winners will be announced at the closing awards ceremony on Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m. PT.

"This year's Disrupt is going to be the most enlightening and entertaining yet. In addition to the battlefield finalists, we have a great panel of speakers, sponsors and exhibitioners," said TechCrunch Editor-In-Chief, Matthew Panzarino. "We've never had a more diverse and compelling program."

Disrupt attendees can look forward to getting insight from speakers such as legendary investor Yuri Milner, NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala, and world renowned entertainer Snoop Dogg. This year, TechCrunch is also introducing a VR pavilion where over 40 of the tech industry's premier VR startups will come and exhibit.

Since it began in 2007, the more than 543 companies that have participated in Startup Battlefield have raised more than $5.7 billion in funding and seen 69 exits. The stage has launched household names including Mint, Yammer, Dropbox and Fitbit.
