Exabeam Joins HP Enterprise Security Alliances Program and Announces HP ArcSight Certification to support customers in Advanced Attack Detection

Exabeam, Inc., a leading global provider of user- and entity-behavior analytics (UEBA) solutions, today announced it has joined the HP Enterprise Security Products Technology Alliances Program (TAP) and is now a certified partner. Customers can now leverage Exabeam's user- and entity-behavior analytics detection and analysis solution with the HP ArcSight (News - Alert) Enterprise Security Management (ESM) security-intelligence platform. HP ArcSight customers can now access real-time views of user activity indicating subtle behavioral differences between a normal employee and attackers using the same credential. This unique behavior-based detection solution also creates an on-the-fly view of the path the attacker is taking through the IT architecture - otherwise known as the kill-chain.

Security Intelligence and Event Management (SIEM) solutions typically detect anomalous activities by correlating events from perimeter security infrastructure, vulnerability systems, anti-virus systems and malware detection solutions with contextual information. Enhancing the HP ArcSight platform with Exabeam adds the ability to learn and remember normal credential-driven user behavior, to reveal anomalous activity.

"In almost every story about a dta breach, we hear that the attacker obtained unauthorized access," said Nir Polak, CEO at Exabeam. "Once inside the organization's perimeter, the combination of increasingly sophisticated malware and the attacker's ability to obtain a valid set of user credentials makes traditional detection useless. Our joint customers see real-time, behavior-based detection and automated analysis that moves response into the 'golden hour' of the attack."

As part of the HP Enterprise Security Products Technology Alliances Program, Exabeam can send its findings into incident review and investigation workflows already adopted by HP ArcSight customers without the need for network taps, connectors or additional infrastructure.

About Exabeam:

Exabeam's user behavior analytics solution leverages existing log data to quickly detect advanced attacks, prioritize incidents, and guide effective response. The company's Stateful User Tracking™ automates the work of security analysts by resolving individual security events and behavioral anomalies into a complete attack chain. This dramatically reduces response times and uncovers attack impacts that would otherwise go unseen. Built by seasoned security experts and enterprise IT veterans from Imperva and Sumo Logic, Exabeam is headquartered in San Mateo, California, and is privately funded by Norwest Venture Partners, Aspect (News - Alert) Ventures and Investor Shlomo Kramer.
