MEGA: Demand for Business Transformation Tools Up Sharply

The demand for software that can drive business transformation has increased significantly as more companies pursue reliable ways to navigate through the new digital landscape, Lucio de Risi, CEO, MEGA International, said today.

de Risi reported that MEGA's software sales grew 60 percent in the first half of 2015, which included extraordinary growth in US software sales. MEGA's HOPEX solutions aid companies in their digital transformation journey by providing a united view of the whole business, its strategies, assets, processes and risks. MEGA solutions help eliminate silos of information across the organization, so that executives can make decisions that lead to business transformation.

"Today's leading companies take a strategic approach to the digital revolution by accelerating technology-driven business transformation," explained de Risi. "They are tackling the broad business challenges of streamlining operations, reducing risks and enhancing the customer experience as ways to improve profitability, foster growth and prepare their companies for the future."

He said this is a departure from te not-too-distant past, when department leaders and IT managers purchased separate software products for independent use.

"CEOs and CIOs are opting for a more comprehensive, united technology solution to create a shared 'single source of truth' about their organization so they can identify new business opportunities, reduce risks and optimize existing resources," noted de Risi. "Company executives are accomplishing digital transformation, corporate governance and IT strategy delivery, all while using the same software to meet specific departmental needs," de Risi noted.

He observed another trend that MEGA has seen in recent months: companies beginning their business transformation journey with an IT portfolio management initiative. Many companies have chosen MEGA's HOPEX IT Portfolio Management solution, which allows them to reduce the risks typically associated with IT transformation. The solution helps them evaluate the business value, costs, risks and performance of each IT asset. It is integrated with BDNA Technopedia™, providing detailed information on the software technology of manufacturers worldwide.

"IT is the starting point of business transformation for most companies, because IT is today's business development engine," said de Risi. "By gaining control of a company's IT systems first, CEOs are building the capability to manage change throughout the rest of the organization."

When announcing the company results, de Risi also introduced Frank Bernieri as the new senior vice president and managing director, responsible for all of MEGA's North America operations.

"Frank has deep knowledge of the US market and a very successful record in growing sales for technology companies," noted de Risi. "He will be focused on the US market, which is a significant opportunity for growth for MEGA and the fastest growing market for our company."

Before joining MEGA, Bernieri was vice president of North American sales for ANSYS, Inc., a $900 million provider of engineering simulation software. He was division vice president of sales for ADP, and also served as division vice president of sales productivity and people development. He began his career in sales and product management at IBM (News - Alert).
