Global Access Appoints Dave Nielsen as Chief Executive Officer

Global Access, a leading provider of cross-border ecommerce technology and shipping solutions processing over $300 million of gross merchandise sales, announced the appointment of Dave Nielsen, former co-president of Overstock.com (NASDAQ: OSTK), as its chief executive officer. Mr. Nielsen joins Global Access at an exciting time following the company's recent acquisition of Shipito.com, which positions the company as the largest end-to-end provider of integrated cross-border e-commerce solutions, both for merchants wanting to expand internationally and for consumers searching for access to global brands.

"While cross-border e-commerce represents a huge growth opportunity, I'm fully aware of the challenges facing retailers as they explore expansion into global markets," explained Mr. Nielsen. "I am thrilled to be joining the Global Access team, as we have an extensive track record and superior suite of product offerings to enable all merchants to quickly and easily reach shoppers all over the world, including the millions of loyal international consumers who use Shipito.com."

Mr. Nielsen will be focused on continuing to grow the company's leading position with merchants in the direct selling industry while furthering its expansion into the internet retailing industry, both domestically and internationally. Additionally, he will be aggressively expanding the international audience of consumers using Shipito.com and inroducing new, innovative solutions to improve the overall international order and shipping experience.

During his tenure at Overstock.com, Mr. Nielsen helped nearly double its revenue to over $1.5 billion in sales. He served in multiple senior leadership roles, including as co-president starting in 2013. Prior to Overstock.com, Mr. Nielsen served as vice president of merchandise distribution at Payless ShoeSource with responsibility over 4,500 Payless stores throughout North America, and as chief executive officer of Old Town Imports, an international retailer and merchandising organization.

"We are excited to be partnering with Dave in the next phase of Global Access's growth, as he has a clear vision and first-hand experience on how best to serve merchants and consumers globally," shared David Lack, managing partner of Tritium Partners, the majority shareholder of Global Access. "Having a CEO with an intimate knowledge of merchants' supply chain operations uniquely positions him to understand the needs of Global Access' customers as they seek to tap the rapidly-growing market for international e-commerce."

Worldwide e-commerce has seen a significant uptick in recent years, with global cross-border e-commerce sales forecasted to surpass $2.3 trillion by 2017, according to industry analyst eMarketer (News - Alert). Much of this growth is expected to occur in Asia, where Global Access has spent over a decade developing regional carrier networks to support its industry-leading technological and fulfillment platforms.

"Adding Dave and his extensive retail experience and online marketing capabilities is going to strengthen our organization and help us better serve our customers," noted Chris Boyle, president and founder of Global Access. "I'm excited to be partnering with him in this next phase of growth for Global Access."
