Fantasy Sports and Youth Sports Coaching Issues to be Addressed at Sept. 10 Sports Law and Ethics Symposium at Santa Clara University


The sixth annual Sports Law and Ethics Symposium hosted by the Santa Clara University Institute of Sports Law and Ethics will address the intellectual-property and business-law facets of fantasy sports; the need to overhaul youth sports in America; and other timely sports law and ethical issues.

The all-day symposium will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 10 at the University's Locatelli Activity Center, 500 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, Calif. The keynote speaker will be Keith Bruce, CEO of the Super Bowl 50 Host Committee, which is managing events related to the Super Bowl on Feb. 7 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara.

"This year's symposium will tackle some of the most important legal and ethical issues in youth, college and pro sports today, from the vantage point of some of the most expert practitioners, coaches or counselors in the field," said Donald Polden, chair of ISLE and professor and former dean of Santa Clara University School of Law.
