Michael Wilbur Joins FracTEL as Senior Vice President, Finance and OperationsFracTEL, (www.fractel.net), the pioneering provider of next-generation, cloud-based telecommunications systems, today announced that Mike Wilbur, a telecom industry veteran with extensive experience at public, private, and startup companies, has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President, Finance and Operations. Wilbur was previously Corporate VP of Finance for Bright House Networks (BHN), the seventh largest cable operator in the US with more than 2.4M subscribers and $4B in revenue, where he developed and directed the back office and operations for BHN's competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) business that grew to 1M customers in less than 5 years. Prior to that, he was instrumental in launching the Road Runner high-speed internet service for Time Warner (News - Alert) Cable, overseeing acquisition of more than 750K new subscribers in less than 3 years, and losing on $425M in joint venture funding in support of the rollout of Video on Demand services for the network.
