BICSI Releases Brand New Data Center Curriculum

TAMPA, Fla., Aug. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- BICSI, the association advancing the information and communications technology (ICT) community, has recently released the newest course in its suite of training options in the field of data center design.

Data center construction in the global market is expected to register an annual compound growth rate of 21 percent through 2018. As such, there is a demand for qualified ICT professionals who are knowledgeable in data center design. With the rapid change in technology associated with the complex systems in data centers, it is imperative that the individuals involved in the design process are up-to-date with the latest information in the field.

DC102: Applied Data Center Design and Best Practices course is a five-day course that provides an in-depth review of best practices for designing data centers. Throughout the course, students are introduced to various data center infrastructure systems and have an opportunity to apply what they learn by engaging in case studies, discussions and real-world scenarios.

The new course was developed based on ANSI/BICSI 002-2014, Data Center Design and Implementation Best Practices. Considered the foundation standard for data center design around the world, ANSI/BICSI 002-2014 provides requirements, guidelines and best practices applicable to any data center. The standard, coupled with the D102 course, gives individuals vital training to design and implement these important systems.
