CPS HR Consulting Opens Early Bird Registration for Client Conference "Managing Your Talent for Agency Success"

With 70 million baby boomers reaching retirement age while the U.S. economy continues to improve, human resources professionals from local and state governments face a talent management challenge. In response, CPS HR Consulting has organized an educational event to give public sector HR leaders the tools and processes they need to recruit, retain and develop the best employees in today's changing job market.

On Feb. 10-12, 2016, CPS HR will host the "Managing Your Talent for Agency Success" client conference at the Embassy Suites in Napa Valley, California, featuring success stories and panels focused on branding and recruitment, leadership development and employee engagement. Nationally recognized speaker Norm Smallwood will present a keynote session outlining leadership sustainability based on the latest book he has co-authored on the same subject. Other notable authors and speakers presenting at the conference include Ron Holifield, Bob Lavigna and Scott Lesnick.

This week the self-supporting public agency announced the opening of early bird registration with a $50 savings and special per-night hotel rate through Oct. 1, 2015.

"We strive every day to help government agencies build a superior workforce and a pipeline of qualified leaders to achieve their strategic goals," said Jerry Greenwell, CEO of CPS HR. "At our 'Managing Your Talent for Agency Success' client conference, we're going to equip HR professionals to take on the challenge through a collaborative, engaging environment on a larger scale than we've endeavored to before."

Additional areas of learning that will be covered include: attracting a new workforce whose professional priorities differ from previous generations by becoming an employer of choice, driving organizational performance through an effective talent management model and developing leadership at all levels of public sector service. Attendance at the conference is limited to 150 seats. Interested parties are encouraged to visit http://www.cpshr.us/clientconference.html to complete early bird registration, sign up for conference updates and learn more about related sessions and activities.

"We are eager to open registration for our inaugural event," Greenwell said. "Developing an agency for optimum performance requires a superior workforce, and that doesn't happen overnight. We believe we can give our clients a huge head start after spending three days with us in February, and we're looking forward to it."
