ICC-ES ESR-3745 Verifies that Prescient's® Unified Truss Construction System Meets Code Requirements

The Unified Truss Construction Framing System, manufactured by Prescient®, has received an evaluation report (ESR-3745) from ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) providing evidence that the panelized, cold-rolled, light gauge framing system meets code requirements.

Building officials, architects, contractors, specifiers, designers and others utilize ICC-ES Evaluation Reports to provide a basis for using or approving Prescient's framing system in construction projects under the International Building Code.

ICC-ES President Shahin Moinian explained why ICC-ES Evaluation Reports are so important: "Prescient can now reference the evaluation report to ensure building officials and the building industry that the product meets I-Code requirements. Building departments have a long history of using evaluation reports, and ICC-ES operates as a technical resource with the highest quality of product review for the building department. Final approval of building products is always in the hands of the local regulatory agency."

ICC-ES thoroughly examined Prescient's product information, test reports, calculations, quality control methods and other factors to ensure the product is code-compliant.

"Working with ICC-ES, while rigorous, was a well-organized and seamless process. Our many thanks to their professional team for their help and diligence throughout the evaluation. The process was expedited and efficient and the ICC-ES team was great to work with," said Michael Lastowski, Prescient founder.

A nonprofit, limited liability company, ICC-ES is the United States' leading evaluation service for innovative building materials, components and systems. ICC-ES Evaluation Reports (ESRs), Building Product Listings and PMG Listings provide evidence that products and systems meet requirements of codes and technical standards. Reports from both listing programs are now accepted in Canada. ICC-ES is a subsidiary of the International Code Council® (ICC®). For more information, please visit www.icc-es.org.

"We are excited to receive an ICC-ES Evaluation Report. The report is another critical and final step in assembling testing, approvals, UL ratings and accreditations that make working with design and construction professionals and building officials a seamless and efficient process. While we have always contended that Prescient offers a better way to design and build, this report gives our clients and customers a third-party validation of the highest authority confirming the performance of our system," Lastowski added.
