Boingo Wireless Named a "Best Place to Work" in Los Angeles

Boingo (News - Alert) Wireless (NASDAQ: WIFI), the leading DAS and Wi-Fi provider that serves consumers, carriers and advertisers worldwide, today announced it was named as one of the "Best Places to Work in Los Angeles," coming in at 27th on the list. The ninth annual program was created by the Los Angeles Business Journal and Best Companies Group.

"We are honored to be part of this esteemed group of LA-based companies," said David Hagan, Chief Executive Officer of Boingo Wireless. "Los Angeles is a great place to build a tech company, and every year it just gets better."

Founded in 2001 in Santa Monica, Boingo's network has grown from 400 hotspots to more than a million Wi-Fi and cellular locations worldwide at large-scale venues including airports, universities, sports and entertainment venues, and military bases. The company continues to pioneer new technologies that simplify the connectivity experience, including the launch of the wireless industry's first commercial Passpoint Wi-Fi networks, enabling seamless, secure Wi-Fi access at more than 25 airports in the U.S.

"We think Boingo is one of the best places to work in Los Angeles - or anywhere for that matter - because we get to tackle challenging problems every day, we get to develop products that are changing the way people get connected, and we get to do it in an environment that is really fun," said Nick Hulse, President of Boingo Wireless (News - Alert). "Enabling people to do their best work while having a great time is an award-winning combination."
