ACT-IAC Announces New ACT Executive Committee Leadership


The American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC (News - Alert)) today announced the election of several new members to the ACT Executive Committee. These individuals assumed office on July 1, 2015.

The ACT Executive Committee is responsible for establishing the strategic direction for ACT-IAC and ensuring that the organization contributes to better government in an objective, vendor-neutral and ethical manner. Individuals serving on the ACT Executive Committee do so in their personal capacity, and their organizational affiliations are listed solely for purposes of identification.

In accordance with the ACT bylaws, Soraya Correa (DHS) was elected ACT Executive Vice President. She will assume the leadership of ACT on July 1, 2016, taking over from Margie Graves (DHS) who became ACT President on July 1, 2015. The following individuals were elected to two year terms as ACT Vice President at Large: Greg Ambrose (VA); Greg Godbout (EPA); Bobby McCane (FEMA); Jolene Merkel (Transportation); Maria Roat (Transportation); and Renee Wynn (NASA).

Remaining on the ACT Executive Committee are Kay Ely (GSA (News - Alert)), Adrian Gardner (FEMA), Joanie Newhart (OMB), Brad Nix (DHS), Greg Giddens (VA), Adam Golberg (Treasury) and Don Johnson (DOD). Ted Davies (Altamira), chair of the Industry Advisory Council, has also joined the ACT Executive Committee. ACT-IAC Executive Director Ken Allen is an ex-officio member of the Executive Committee.

Spanning functional and organizational boundaries, the ACT Executive Committee brings together dedicated public sector employees committed to creating a more effective and efficient government. I look forward to working with this exceptional group over the coming year," said ACT President Margie Graves.

IAC Chair Ted Davies noted, "ACT-IAC is the only place in Washington where government and industry executives are working together as partners to forge a more effective government using technology. The leadership of this unique organization is provided by the distinguished individuals who serve on the ACT Executive Committee and the IAC Executive Committee. It would be difficult to assemble a better team of leaders."
