Exabeam Hires Ted Plumis to Lead Channel Program, Named 2015 CRN Emerging Vendor

Exabeam, the leader in user- and entity-behavior analytics for security, today announced the hiring of channel veteran Ted Plumis as vice president of channel, business and corporate development. Plumis joins Exabeam at an exciting time, following the announcement that the company will begin reselling with three leading channel partners Carahsoft, GuidePoint Security, Blackwood Associates (BAI) and Somerford Associates.

Plumis hails most recently from Imperva where he led the security firm's worldwide channel and service-provider program and doubled year-over-year channel revenue. Prior to joining Imperva, he led channel development and strategy at Q1 Labs, resulting in an acquisition by IBM, as well as at HP ArcSight (News - Alert) and Secure Computing. At Exabeam, Ted will lead Exabeam's channel- and technology-partner strategies. Plumis was named a CRN Channel Chief in 2012, 2014 and 2015 for his work with Imperva.

"Partners have always played a pivotal role in the scoping, sale and deployment of security information and event management (SIEM) technologies within an organization's security-operations center, and we are 100 percentchannel focused," said Nir Polak, Exabeam CEO and co-founder. "It's rare that an early-stage company is able to attract talent with Ted's pedigree, but, given our team, technology and market traction, we were able to add Ted to our ranks. His successful track record with security market channel partners at Imperva and Q1 Labs makes him an ideal choice to help us with our rapid growth strategy."

Since Exabeam's channel program launched in February, it continues to gain market traction. All of Exabeam's sales come through the channel and, last week, Exabeam was recognized by CRN to the 2015 Emerging Vendors list.

"We work with some of the most targeted organizations in the world, so having a solution that can efficiently sort through massive amounts of data and highlight compromised user credentials is extremely valuable," said Ryan Morris, senior director of operations at BAI (News - Alert). "Exabeam's solution deploys quickly, combs through existing data repositories and presents an on-the-fly attack chain, so that even the most junior analysts can quickly isolate a breach, determine scope and evaluate severity."
