Globo's Enterprise Mobility Technology Underpins Flexible Working Initiative for Key UK Council

Globo Plc (LSE-AIM: GBO, OTCQX: GOBPY), the global provider of complete enterprise mobility solutions and services for both enterprise mobility management and application development, today announced a key government contract win in the UK with Milton Keynes Council.

The Council for Milton Keynes has selected Globo technology for its Future Working Program, to power one of the fastest growing municipalities in the UK. The initiative is designed to enable flexible working, freeing up costly office space, eliminating paperwork and improving efficiency through real-time secure data capture.

Globo's other government customers include the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), San Mateo County (California), City of Sioux Falls among others.

Milton Keynes Council plans to install Globo's solution on 1,100 devices, with 300 deployments already completed. The Council is leveraging Globo's full suite of mobility solutions, including mobile device management (MDM), secure workspace, and custom mobile apps. Additional capabilities enabled by the mobile apps will result in the rollout being further extended.

Milton Keynes Council's Head of IT Strategic Development, Paul Wheeler, said: "The real strength of the Globo solution is in the apps. They're giving us secure mobile access to back-end systems and data, automating previously manual processes, increasing efficiencyand making for significant savings in time and money. At the same time, we're able to leverage existing legacy systems by making them available through apps on mobile devices."

The Council's choice of enterprise mobility partner followed a thorough evaluation of several vendors. "The way Globo's product is integrated across all the essential mobility functions is a particularly strong point," said Wheeler. "We really like Globo's can-do attitude, functionality, pricing and their willingness to listen and respond to our requirements. Their comprehensive solutions portfolio covers our needs and more with a clear and reasonable licensing fee."

A crucial factor in Milton Keynes Council choosing Globo is the solution's ability to keep personal and corporate data on devices separate, and its 'remote wipe' capability. Both are seen as vital to meet strict governance and data protection requirements.

Security is of particular concern to government organizations and companies in highly regulated industries. Globo ensures security of its clients' information and data by providing a myriad of security features; data loss protection for data in transit and at rest, FIPS 140-2 certified encryption for devices and apps, identity authentication of devices and users; and inbuilt auditing, tracking and reporting.
