Sharemoney Announces "Help a Student in Vietnam" Essay Contest

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., July 31, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The online money transfer service Sharemoney (http://www.sharemoney.com) announced an online essay contest for people who send money to a student in Vietnam.

Benefactors who live in the United States are invited to visit the "Help a Student in Vietnam" contest tab on the Sharemoney Facebook page and submit a short essay about the student in Vietnam that they financially support. The essay submission that gets the most "likes" will win the student a 13-inch Apple MacBook Air in time for the new semester.

Established in April 2014, Sharemoney is the online money transfer service of Omnex Group, Inc. Omnex sends over one billion dollars per year in money remittances and is the parent company of four major money transfer brands including Le Goi Tien Le (Le's), which has been one of the most trusted brands among Vietnamese American communities since 1999.

The number of university students in Vietnam has roughly doubled since 1990. This time of year, many Vietnamese-Americans send money to Vietnam to help with tuition, books, and other education costs.

Hoa Luu, Manager of Omnex Group's Vietnamese corridor, said, "Contests usually offer the contestants a chance to win something for themselves, but people who send money through Sharemoney and Le's are interested in helping others. We admire their generosity and appreciate their business. This contest is one way we can help them help the people they care about."

The contest ends September 5, 2015. One does not have to be a Sharemoney or Le's customer to enter, to vote, or to win. Official contest rules can be found on the Sharemoney Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/sharemoney).

The Sharemoney service offers fast and secure online money transfers from 36 states to five countries, including to 64 provinces and cities in Vietnam. Sharemoney offers home delivery of funds in U.S. dollars in Vietnam, usually in as few as 4-6 hours, and fees start as low as $2.99.
