GEICO pulls out all the stops for Sturgis 75th anniversary bike rally

If you are an avid motorcycle fan, there's only one place on the entire planet you should be this time of the year. That's the 75th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota, Aug. 1 - 9, 2015.

As the exclusive insurance partner of the world famous Buffalo Chip and the City of Sturgis, GEICO has pulled out allthe stops to mark the 75th anniversary with a dazzling array of customized machines, prizes, interactive games and giveaways for motorcycle and RV fans at two locations in Sturgis.

"2015 marks GEICO's eleventh successful year participating at Sturgis, one of the largest motorcycle rallies in the world," said Ted Ward, GEICO vice president. "In honor of 75 years, we knew Sturgis was the perfect event to unveil our newest custom-built GEICO motorcycle. Roland Sands Designs created it as a special tribute and we know that motorcycle fans will enjoy it."

At Buffalo Chip and on Main Street, participants will have the chance to meet The Gecko as well as check out a full arsenal of customized GEICO vehicles. The company will also introduce a new USO mobile canteen and phone charging stations at the Main Street location.

The line-up features:

  • the #13 GEICO NASCAR driven by Casey Mears
  • the Paul Jr. custom-built GEICO Military Tribute and Gecko bikes

And GEICO didn't stop there. On August 9, a fired-up audience will see the unveiling of a new custom-built GEICO motorcycle. Built by Roland Sands Designs, the GEICO custom Indian Chieftain will be revealed on the Wolfman Jack Stage at Buffalo Chip. The night's entertainment will include: 38 Special, The Guess Who and Brantley Gilbert.
