Surgical Affiliates Management Group Expands Business Development and Operations Staff to Meet Demands of Accelerating Growth


Surgical Affiliates Management Group, a leading surgical hospitalist company with proven results, announced today that it has expanded its corporate office with the promotion of internal management talent and two new team members to meet its accelerating growth. The company also announced that for the second year in a row the Sacramento Business Journal has named it as one of the "Fastest Growing Companies" in the area.

John M. Wyatt has been promoted to the position of Chief Business Development Officer. Joining the company's operational staff are two new hires: Jamie L. Bastine, who will serve as Practice Development Consultant, and Jill M. Finnie, who will serve as Practice Development Associate.

"We promoted John to this newly created position because he knows the market well and brings an invaluable depth of knowledge and experience to it. His understanding of how to successfully educate and influence the market to adopt our game-changing new idea has expanded our reach and will enable the company's continuing growth," said Leon J. Over the course of his career, Wyatt has focused upon healthcare. In his new role as Chief Business Development Officer he will be responsible for directing and managing Surgical Affiliates' national growth strategy and oversight of the company's marketing and sales processes.

Wyatt joined Surgical Affiliates in 2013 as Vice President, Business Development. Prior to joining Surgical Affiliates, he held various senior executive positions with CEP America, a national multispecialty physician partnership, IPC (News - Alert) The Hospitalist Company (now IPC Healthcare), a national hospitalist organization. He has also held positions at Alameda Inpatient Medical, Inc., Horizon Health Corporation and Psychiatric Management Resources Corporation. Wyatt earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley, a J.D. from Golden Gate University, School of Law and an M.B.A. from Golden Gate University, Ageno School of Business. He is also a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified.



New staff member Jamie L. Bastine brings a decade of results-oriented experience in operations and business development to Surgical Affiliates. She will be responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing quantitative metrics for business development opportunities. Bastine holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Idaho.

Jill M. Finnie brings a solid background of healthcare experience to Surgical Affiliates. She will be responsible for national educational outreach. Finnie earned her Bachelor of Science, Business Administration - Marketing from San Francisco State University.
