SnapChef Hosts Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Event at New Corporate Headquarters in Dorchester and Announces New Fast Track Curriculum Initiative

SnapChef, the area's premier culinary training and staffing agency, with its CEO, Todd Snopkowski, cited as SBA Small Business Person of the Year for its job creation, today hosted a Grand Opening Ceremony to unveil their new Workforce Development Center and Corporate Headquarters in Dorchester, Massachusetts.

Located at 420 Washington Street, the Grand Opening Ceremony included remarks given by Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development Undersecretary Stephanie Neal-Johnson, City of Boston Economic Development Chief John Barros and SnapChef CEO and Founder Todd Snopkowski. The program concluded with an Open House tour of the new facility and a tasting menu created by WACS Global Master Chef and Dean Emeritus of Culinary Development at Johnson and Wales University, Karl Guggenmos.

SnapChef's Headquarters will serve as the main training facility for all of the company's ServSafe certified employees and will host SnapChef's "Table for 20" program, in which local Boston organizations can utilize their conference space for meetings and events and have the SnapChef training center staff provide the cuisine.

During the unveiling, SnapChef CEO and Founder Todd Snopkowski announced the SnapChef Fast Track Curriculum (FTC (News - Alert)) as part of the new SnapChef Foundation, a vocational training program that allows adults with varying levels of culinary skills develop new technical abilities while earning an income. The FTC is the result of over 100 years of combined executive chef and culinary educator experience. The FTC addresses the critical gap in culinary industry btween minimum wage no skill jobs and chefs trained at higher education institutions.

Aligned with the launch of the FTC and SnapChef Foundation, SnapChef CEO announced that the company plans to make 50 new hires in the coming months.

"We are pleased to see SnapChef's commitment to training and employment," Undersecretary Neal-Johnson said. "Our commitment is to ensuring all in the community have an opportunity to access job training opportunities as the state's economy continues to improve."

"We couldn't be more thankful for the warm welcome we've received from the Dorchester residents and the unconditional support that has been shown to us by Boston City officials," said SnapChef CEO, Todd Snopkowski. "Opening our Company Headquarters in Dorchester will give us the opportunity to further contribute to the local community and continue to grow nation-wide."
