MOBIA Entertainment Receives Funding to Develop League of Legends Mobile Social ApplicationLOS ANGELES, July 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --MOBIA ENTERTAINMENT, formed in June 2015, is a new mobile company focused on building state-of-the-art applications and games. The new venture is backed by strategic investors, including partner Firefly Games and Sky Ocean International Holdings.  The first application Mobia Entertainment will launch this fall is League Chat, a definitive social e-sports application for the League of Legends community. The mobile app includes live video streaming for the League of Legends 2015 LCS (League Championship Series), mobile text messaging, and community generated content. League Chat will be the driving template to a much-needed evolution of accessibility to the competitive gaming community outside of the PC. For League Chat, League of Legends players will be able to contact friends inside and outside the game with their LoL login, interact with e-sports videos, and share personal game-related moments. Future versions will include the development of instant replay sharing, curated league of legends content and other innovative social e-sports features. Mobia Entertainment has partnered with both Firefly Games and Gab Games to expand its technical capabilities and drive its expansion into global markets.
