David Sheehan Remembers And Relives Memorable Moments With Robin Williams

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., July 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The late comic mastermind and film acting star, Robin Williams, is being remembered on the Internet this weekend, as the focus of the new original web series "Sheehan & The Stars" on YouTube.

Reporter David Sheehan has compiled an unusually revealing over-the-years collection of interview-interplay with Williams in the latest 5-minute episode of his new weekly look back at the greatest thoughts of Hollywood's greatest names.

The Robin Williams episode brings out some surprising insights and some wildly hilarious comebacks as Sheehan explores the inner realities of being such a gifted performer, including one brilliantly manic non-stop 45 second improvisation that has never been seen before.

"To be perpetually a child is a bit like, 'grow up, it's time, Mr. Williams,'" says the comedian. And when Sheehan questions Williams on what it means to be a 'star,' Robin explains, "I never wanted to be that, I didn't do comedy because I wanted to be on The Tonight Show. I did it because it was a deep-seated, almost therapeutic need. I could say anything I wanted to ay."

The episode also includes a highly entertaining tracing of his illustrious career from his earliest 1970s breaking-in at the Improv in LA through the "Mork and Mindy" TV triumph, and his many movies such as "Good Morning Vietnam," "Dead Poets Society" and his backstage Oscar speech after winning best supporting actor for "Good Will Hunting." Plus a "Bicentennial Man" insight sure to make you blink, think, and reappreciate the man and his genius.

Robin Williams would have celebrated his 64th birthday this week, just as the last movie of his life "Boulevard" was beginning to open in theaters nationwide.
