Proxibid (www.proxibid.com), the most trusted online Marketplace for buying and selling highly valued items, powered a benefit auction for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital® this past weekend. On July 11th, the coveted 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata Launch Edition, the first new-generation MX-5 to go on sale in the U.S., sold to an online bidder with Proxibid for $50,000. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale will benefit St. Jude, thanks to the generous donation of the vehicle by Mazda.

Thanks to partners like Mazda and Proxibid, buyers and supporters from as far away as the United Kingdom were able to participate in this auction, helping us to raise even greater awareness and funds for the hospital, and ensuring families never receive a bill from St. Jude.

In addition to the Mazda 2016 MX-5 Launch Edition, the winning bidder also received a Mazda-branded BOSE SoundLink® Mini Bluetooth® speaker in a gift box, along with select items from Mazda's upcoming Heritage Collection apparel line. Based on the premium MX-5 Grand Touring, all Launch Edition MX-5 vehicles come in Soul Red with a Sport Tan leather interior?a color combination exclusive to the Launch Edition for 2016.
