SullivanCotter Opens Participation in the 2015 Advanced Practice Clinician Compensation and Pay Practices Survey

Sullivan, Cotter and Associates, Inc. (SullivanCotter) has opened participation for the 2015 Advanced Practice Clinician and Pay Practices Survey. As changes in health care delivery continue to accelerate the demand for advanced practice clinicians (APCs), the survey is a source of valuable insight into APC (News - Alert) compensation levels, trends and pay practices.

"Given the rapid employment growth in this area and current high vacancy rates, organizations are looking to critical compensation benchmarking data and pay practice trends in order to attract and retain the right talent," said Kay Jensen, Employee Compensation Practice Leader at SullivanCotter.

The survey delivers a comprehensive set of detailed benchmarking data to hospitals, health systems and medical groups nationwide, helping organizations to strategically assess the market competitiveness of pay and pay practices for APCs across the various and emerging specialty areas.

Last year, information was collected from over 330 health care organizations representing more than 29,000 individual APCs acros 95 specialties and provider types. The 2015 survey will include detailed information on compensation and productivity data:

  • Base pay and total cash compensation (TCC)
  • On call pay
  • Shift differentials
  • Collections
  • Work RVUs
  • Productivity ratios
  • TCC to collections
  • TCC per work RVU
  • Total benefits costs

In addition, the survey continues to address trends in other hot topic areas such as pay for extra shifts, education-related expenses, sign-on and retention bonuses and moving allowances. New this year is the addition of new APC management positions and updated questions regarding incentive plan design, allowing us to provide the most detailed pay practices and benefits practice data in the market.

The deadline to participate is July 31, 2015. Survey participants will receive complimentary electronic copies of the survey report and data tables, as well as access to the 2015 participant webinar, which will present results, trends and key findings.
