It is important for those with STIs to find understanding, acceptance and hope. Hift creator Marie is bringing that to the app world with her new creation. She uses Hift to help those with STIs (such as Herpes, HSV-1, HSV-2, HPV, HIV, etc.) to connect with people who share their issues. The new app attempts to bring these people together, find love and to release stigma.

There are over 110 million people living with STIs in the United States alone and 400 million people worldwide, but there continues to be ignorance and misunderstanding surrounding STIs. Now, Hift is helping people with these infections by offering a communityof support and love as well as the ability to date others who understand the issues surrounding the contraction and treatment of any STI.

Located at www.hift.co, users can find out information about Hift before downloading the app. Users will create an account and share information about themselves, including the type of STI they are living with. Sharing status allows others to find and match with these users. Like the popular dating app Tinder, Hift also features the ability to "swipe right" for those people the person likes and "swipe left" for those he or she does not like. Conversations can only take place when there are mutual likes. This helps users seek out and meet only the people with whom they feel well-matched.

Hift has a Moments feature which allows users to upload photos or stories that they wish to share with others. Moments offers users another way to meet other members and to share their information in a safe and supportive environment.

Topics is the in-app forum where users can discuss, support and offer advice. Whether posts are about how to live with an STI or concern conversational trivia, Topics allows users to engage with each other and connect.

For more, visit the Hift website. Their App can be downloaded at Apple Store or Google Play.
