The international Red Dot jury bestows the sought-after seal of quality only to those products that stand out based on innovation, functionality, quality, ergonomics and durability.

Vivint Internet offers symmetrical 100 Mbps download and upload speeds for suburban customers - faster than any other wireless Internet service provider in the U.S. To support this service, Vivint designed its wireless antenna to be easy to install, reliable and weatherproof in all conditions.

"Our goal was to develop not only a beautiful design, but also a product that was easy and fast for installers to set up, so we can get our customer's Internet service working as quickly as possible," said Stephen Boynton, senior industrial designer at Vivint. "We worked closely with our installers to make sure we combined innovation with functionality. As a result, our new wireless antenna has built-in GPS and alignment capabilities that have helped reduce installation time by 50 percent."

"For 60 years, the most-respected design experts have been convening every year in Essen, Germany to seek out the best designs," said Professor Peter Zec, founder and CEO of the Red Dot Award. "This year we had a record number of almost 5,000 entries - a huge amount of work for our jury members, who assessed each individual product. The winners of the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2015 have demonstrated exceptionally high achievements and are deservedly successful in the world's largest design competition."

The internationally respected product competition will culminate in the Red Dot Gala in Essen on June 29, 2015. The winning products will then be on display for four weeks in the special exhibition "Design on Stage" at the Red Dot Design Museum Essen, before being included in the museum's permanent exhibition.
