Takeda's Community Service Day in Massachusetts is part of the company's Living Through Giving program which is an integral component of Corporate Social Responsibility at Takeda. The Living Through Giving program was started in 1997 as a grassroots movement by a group of employees who were inspired to give back to the local community. Today, Living Through Giving has grown to include partnerships with more than 20 non-profit agencies throughout the year to promote awareness and make a difference. Community Service Day provides hundreds of company volunteers the opportunity to spend over 2,000 cumulative volunteer hours in support of local non-profit organizations. Additionally, Takeda employees may take up to two additional days of paid time-off from work each year to volunteer with non-profit organizations. Photos available upon request.
