Wi-SUN Alliance Announces New Adopter Member Category for Utilities and MunicipalitiesMORGAN HILL, Calif., June 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Wi-SUN™ Alliance today announced a new adopter class of membership. This new category was created specifically to make it easier and more cost effective for utilities and municipalities to deploy the Wi-SUN solution set to meet their growing SmartGrid and Smart City needs. System integrators and product vendors wishing to integrate already certified Wi-SUN products into their solutions will also benefit. With more than 80 member companies worldwide, the Wi-SUN Alliance is focused on accelerating the implementation of a smarter grid and smarter cities by enabling the global adoption of interoperable solutions based on the IEEE 802.15.4 and related open global standards.
