VisTracks Teams With Micronet to Deliver DOT-Compliant Solutions

VisTracks, Inc. the leading provider of cloud, tablet and smartphone-based managed services solutions for DOT Hours Of Service, today announced that it has partnered with Micronet Ltd, the mobile Resource Management (MRM) subsidiary of Micronet Enertec Technologies Inc (NASDAQCM: MICT) to offer VisTracks' SnapTraq™ Hours of Service suite of services with Micronet's industry-leading A317 All-in-One tablet and other ruggedized models designed for use in heavy duty vehicles, to comply with DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations.

SnapTraq Hours Of Service is a real-time, tablet and Web-hosted telematics application for managing and monitoring commercial trucking fleet vehicles and their drivers. The service is compliant with current and proposed government regulations for electronic logs and vehicle driver hours of service.

The Micronet A317 platform is a rugged, Android (News - Alert)™ based cabin-mount tablet that offers advanced functionality at a competitive price. As one of Micronet's new generation tablets, the A317 combines innovative technology with a 'fit-for-purpose' product design. This versatile, vehicle-centric platform is available as a complete All-in-One platform with a wireless cellular modem and other connectivity features, or as a Base Model solution to interface with a third party telematics unit (Automatic Vehicle Location or Black-Box (News - Alert) unit).

The combined tablet/software solution - available through VisTracks' and Micronet's distributors and cellular carriers, provides an easy-to-use tablet app synchronized with the back-office portal. Enhancements include support for multiple drivers and vehicles, customized vehicle inspection features, disconnected logging, and warning of impending violations, both on tablet and back-office portal. The service is fully white-labeled, with several brandable features. Optional service enhancements include engine data reporting and electronic work orders.

"SnapTraq Hours of Service is the perfect combination of tablet and back-end portal software technologies to ensure drivers and their companies are fully compliant with complex DOT and state requirements," said Abe Levine, VisTracks' Chief Operating Officer. "In this very high growth market, we believe that we provide unique enhancements to lighten the logging burden and make the experience far mor satisfying for both drivers and transportation companies. In addition, our app's ease of use enables drivers to concentrate on driving, not trying to be technical experts."

"We're pleased to be working with VisTracks to leverage the power and effectiveness of our A317 and the rest of our product line," said Micronet Chief Executive Officer, Shai Lustgarten. "Fleet companies and drivers need tablets inside the vehicle that can withstand the rigors of heavy duty driving and job sites while being as easy to use as a smart phone. By capturing and delivering data to SnapTraq, Micronet is helping transportation providers meet strict regulatory requirements and optimize fleet operations."
