Revolabs' FLX UC Conference Phones Certified for Microsoft Windows®

Revolabs, the premier provider of audio solutions for unified communications (UC), enterprise collaboration, and professional audio applications, today announced that its FLX UC 500 USB conference phone and FLX UC 1000 IP & USB conference phone are now formally certified for use with devices that run on Microsoft Windows operating systems and servers. To qualify for this certification, the phones passed rigorous tests conducted using the Windows Hardware Certification Kit (HCK), a standard test framework used to certify hardware devices for interoperability with Windows. The Windows HCK certification is key to marketplace success because it assures customers that Revolabs (News - Alert) devices are robust solutions and reliable for deployment in enterprises that leverage Windows operating systems.

The FLX UC 500 USB conference phone (introduced in November 2014) and the FLX UC 1000 IP & USB conference phone (introduced in March 2015) are now part of an elite group of products authorized to wear the "Compatible with Windows" badge. These phones incorporate sophisticated digital signal processing (DSP) technologies that Revolabs developed for its professional audio solutions that have now been adapted for the unified communications market. Equipped with premium tweeter and mid-woofer elements, four microphones, and integrated acoustic echo cancellation, these USB conference phones provide high quality audio for enterprises and organizations that collaborate over UC networks. The product certifications signify that the conference phones are suitable for large-scale technology roll-outs that demand interoperability and reliability. These products are ideal for small-to-medium size conference rooms, including huddle rooms, and executive offices where users need easy, plug-and-play equipment for use with online collaboration tools such as Skype (News - Alert)™, Vidyo®, Microsoft® Lync®, Cisco® Jabber, WebEx®, and other similar softphone applications.

Thousands of audio devices connect with Windows PCs, but many network and IP PBX administrators prefer certified devices because the Windows logo is a trusted, meaningful designation. "This is an important milestone for our product line and a huge benefit for our end users," sas Priti Mendiratta (News - Alert), Revolabs Product Manager. "IT network administrators and users need dependability and ease of use. They're getting that with our products, as well as a higher level of quality audio that is essential for effective conferencing. Users and administrators need to know that their digital phone technology will work with their PCs, and this certification gives them the confidence they need to make cost-effective decisions," she adds.

The FLX UC 500, named the TMC (News - Alert) INTERNET TELEPHONY 2014 Product of the Year, connects via USB to deliver high power, professional-grade sound to unified communication applications. It is aggressively priced with a North American MSRP of USD$399. Using integrated SIP technology, the FLX UC 1000 features both VoIP and USB audio support, and allows conference participants to bridge VoIP and third-party softphone calls. The North American MSRP for the FLX UC 1000, which received a 2015 Unified Communications Product of the Year award, is USD$799.
