Working to Keep Lancaster County Communities Safe: True Value Company to Support Carbon Monoxide Awareness Campaign at Local High School

What:

  True Value Company will partner with Kidde United Technologies to donate over 200 carbon monoxide (CO) detectors to a Lancaster County high school as part of a local campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning.
 
In November 2014, Octorara Area Senior High School in Atglen, Pennsylvania, tragically lost two students to CO poisoning. Kayla Stolzfus, a senior at the high school, is spearheading the CO awareness campaign as part of a school project.
 
"This tragedy has hit my school very hard. I would love to help share ways to prevent this awful poison," said Kayla. She plans to kick off the CO awareness campaign at the Octorara Area School District's OA-BEST agricultural fair on May 30.
