Pluribus Networks Named to CRN's 2015 Virtualization 50

Pluribus Networks, the company that brings hyper-convergence to software-defined networking (SDN) through the industry's most programmable, open-source based operating system, Netvisor® (nvOS), today announced it has been named to The Channel Company's 2015 CRN® Virtualization 50. The annual list recognizes channel-friendly companies that provide some of the most innovative virtualization technology available.

Selected by CRN editors, the 2015 CRN Virtualization 50 highlights vendors that are addressing a growing market need for state-of-the-art virtualization solutions. Building virtualized environments is the first step in taking customers to the cloud. Selecting the right virtualization tools puts solution providers on the path toward successfully building virtualized environments that solve customers' problems. The list aims to help solution providers identify and evaluate virtualization technology vendors and programs that will enable them to grow their business.

For years, customers have complained about a lack of visibility across overlay and underlay networks. With Pluribus Netvisor, the physical and virtual networks are unified, providing IT for the first time with fine-grained visibility into and control over the network. With this new visibility into both virtualized overlay and the physical underlay, IT is now in a far better position to be able to meet increasingly challenging SLAs and successfully pinpoint the origins of complex application performance problems.

"Virtualization is one of the hottest segments ofthe IT industry. As virtualization adoption continues to flourish, our Virtualization 50 list serves as a valuable resource in the purchasing process," said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. "These virtualization vendors definitely deserve to be on the channel's radar. We congratulate the winners and look forward to their continued success."

"We are honored to be named by The Channel Company to the 2015 CRN Virtualization 50. Many of our customers have eagerly adopted virtualization, but now are looking for ways to better contain and control OPEX (News - Alert)-related aspects of virtualized networks," explained Dave Ginsburg, Pluribus Networks CMO. "By unifying underlay and overlay and providing end-to-end visibility, we feel we can help simplify networks and drive down costs and operational complexity."

The 2015 Virtualization 50 list is featured online at www.CRN.com, and will be published in the June issue of CRN.
