Digital Guardian CEO Ken Levine to Participate in "Top Market Trends in the Endpoint Detection and Response Market" Panel at Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit

Digital Guardian, the only endpoint security platform purpose built to stop data theft, today announced that its President and CEO, Ken Levine, will participate in the "Top Market Trends in the Endpoint Detection and Response Market" panel at the upcoming Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit. Digital Guardian, which is a Silver Sponsor of the event, will also be meeting with attendees and exhibiting at the company's booth (#516).

WHAT: The Gartner (News - Alert) Security & Risk Management Summit brings together the Gartner analyst and risk management community in one location to discuss the latest research, insights and forward-thinking perspectives in the security industry.

The "Top Market Trends in the Endpoint Detection and Response Market" panel will feature security leaders in the Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) space who will discuss common malware methods, how specific solutions solve "the malware problem" and future techniques organizations should look to implement on their endpoints. Participants will also address frequently asked questions relating to EDR, such as:

  • What are the most critical security challenges being faced on the endpoint?
  • What does EDR do and how are these technologies evolving?
  • What are the provider strengths and weaknesses?

WHEN: The panel will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. EDT, as part of "Track F: The Marketplace for Security." The Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit will take place from June 8-11, 2015.

WHERE: The Summit will take place at the Gaylord National Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. Digital Guardian will be exhibiting at booth #516.

WHY: EDR, a term first coined by Gartner in 2013, is a rapidly emerging technology. The growth addresses a critical need in security as advanced persistent threats and targeted attacks become more sophisticated and routinely bypass traditional antivirus solutions to compromise endpoints. EDR supplements traditional signature-based technologies for richer behavior-based anomaly detection and greater visibility across endpoints, which prevents the loss of sensitive data.
