The Shuman Law Firm Investigates LeapFrog Enterprises, Inc.

The Shuman Law Firm announces that it is investigating potential claims against certain officers and directors of LeapFrog Enterprises (News - Alert), Inc. ("LeapFrog" or the "Company") (NYSE: LF). LeapFrog is a California-based company that designs, develops, and markets technology-based learning products and related proprietary content for children.

The Firm's investigation relates to whether certain current and/or former senior officers and directors reached their fiduciary duties to the Company with respect to LeapFrog's ongoing financial reporting and accounting issues. On January 22, 2015, after the close of trading, LeapFrog announced preliminary financial results for its 2014 fiscal third quarter. These financial results were significantly below the Company's stated expectations and financial guidance. Following this news, shares of LeapFrog declined nearly 35%, to close on January 23, 2015, at $2.55 per share, on unusually heavy volume. These events led to the filing of multiple class action lawsuits against the Company and its senior management.

Recently, on May 18, 2015, the Company announced further problems, specifically that it "is currently in the process of testing the recoverability of its long-lived assets under the requirements of FASB ASC (News - Alert) 360." Moreover, the Company also disclosed that "the result of this analysis could lead to a non-cash accounting charge."
