A.M.BestTV: Insurers Turn to Technology to Strengthen Customer Relations

This episode of A.M.BestTV looks at a recent webinar where a panel of technology professionals examined how insurers are leveraging new technology and capabilities to build cutting-edge customer relationship systems. Richard Ward, director, strategic consulting at Pitney Bowes, discussed customer lifetime value, an important marketing and product development metric. "Customer lifetime value is a worthwhile endeavor because a promoter of a company's brand is worth five times the value of a detractor. With this in mind, there is a clear benefit for a company to move a customer to a promoter and retain that customer for a longer period of time."

Ram Seshadri, practice head, analytics, data omnichannel at Wipro (News - Alert) Technologies, delved into what companies consider when they work to improve their customer relations. "By companies understanding and having an intimate relationship with their customers, they are able to provide better customer service," he said. "Toward that goal, companies are allocating a lot of money to business intelligence and analytics."

Webinar panelists also include:

  • Saju Joseph Moody, general manager, products and platforms group, Wipro Technologies (News - Alert).
