"Again this year, Northrop Grumman is honored to sponsor this scholarship competition, which supports the pursuit of an engineering education by some of Maryland's best and brightest students," said Gloria A. Flach, corporate vice president and president of the company's Linthicum-based Electronic Systems sector. "The qualifications of these young men and women are tremendous, and they have great potential to become tomorrow's innovators."

The Northrop Grumman Engineering Scholars program is aimed at supporting promising high school seniors who intend to pursue a career in an engineering-related field. Candidates must plan to attend an accredited college or university school of engineering as a full-time student in an approved engineering program. A committee of Northrop Grumman employees selected the Engineering Scholars winners.
