High Quality Connections and Superior Customer Service with Molex Application Tooling

Molex Incorporated will showcase some of its state-of-the-art tooling solutions at the National Electrical Wire Processing Technology Expo, May 13 - 14, The Wisconsin Center, Milwaukee, booth 1654. Designed and tested to ensure high-quality electrical connections, the equipment helps prevent unnecessary downtime while ensuring customers meet industry standard requirements and maintain their necessary warranties in multiple applications including automotive, industrial, commercial, contract manufacturer, assembly and design/engineering. In support of its application tooling solutions, Molex (News - Alert) also provides a variety of services to help customers during the equipment set up phase and throughout the lifetime of the product.

"Molex is committed to helping its customers meet the ongoing challenge of achieving superior connections in demanding conditions," said Bob Grenke, product manager, Molex. "We understand our products perform very precise work and that there are many subtle differences between the different solutions that may be unfamiliar to customers. We believe our competitive advantage is not only that we provide excellent application tooling solutions, but our top-of-the-line customer service experts offer a full range of technical support at no additional cost."

While at the National Electrical Wire Processing Technology Expo, Molex experts will showcase several of its semi-automatic crimping machines, which are ideal for mid-to-high range production volumes:

TM-3000™ Universal Crimp Press System: Delivers an effective method of applying a wide range of side-feed and rear-feed terminals to pre-stripped discrete wire or cable. This press system accepts Molex Mini-Mac™ and FineAdjust™ applicators and uses most industry standard applicators to educe tooling costs and provide design flexibility. It is a direct-drive, split-cycle press that accepts Molex air-feed applicators that process terminals mounted on Mylar* tape.

TM-4000™ Universal Crimp Press System Shut Height - 135.80mm (5.346"): The only industry standard, bench-top press on the market that terminates large lug products up to 4 AWG, the Molex TM-4000 Universal Crimp Press provides an effective method of applying a wide range of side- and rear-feed terminals to heavy-gauge wires. It accepts the most common industry-standard applicators in the marketplace and any Molex applicator, including air-feed applicators that process terminals mounted on Mylar tape.

Tape-Terminal Crimp Modules (Tape Base Unit): Provides an effective method of applying a wide range of side-feed, tape-mounted terminals to pre-stripped discrete wire(s) from 4 to 30 AWG. The crimp module operates only in the TM-4000 and TM-3000 Universal Presses and uses quick-change modular tooling which accepts all existing ATP (News - Alert)-201 and ATP-301 die sets, reducing tooling investment.
