ArcSoft's simplicam® powered by Closeli® Partners with San Francisco SPCA

ArcSoft, a global leader of image-intelligent technologies, today announced simplicam® powered by Closeli®, its home monitoring Wi-Fi camera, is joining the San Francisco SPCA in finding the perfect forever homes for adoptable dogs and cats. Just in time for kitten season, simplicams at the SF SPCA's Mission Adoption Center will capture videos that prospective pet parents can view on the SF SPCA's social media sites, allowing them to better get to know the animals they're considering for adoption.

"We are thrilled to have this opportunity to work alongside the SF SPCA in furthering their mission," said Caroline Tien-Spalding, Sr. Director of Product Marketing, ArcSoft (News - Alert). "Matching a pet with the perfect lifelong home is a labor of love. If our technology helps even one pet find a loving home, then we've accomplished our goal."

In addition to capturing videos of animals ready for adoption, simplicam will be collaborating with the SF SPCA for the upcoming Dogs on the Catwalk event on May 29 at the San Francisco Mission Adoption Center. A simplicam will be placed on the runway for an up close and personal view of the dogs as they strut their stuff beside the models. The Closeli live video stream will be displayed on large screens throughout the facility for the audience to enjoy.

Dogs on the Catwalk is a fashion runway show featuring looks for people and pets, with Vegan apparel by Claire Farwell London, Jill Milan and Betabrand. There will also be live music from Sit Kitty Sit, vegetarian/vegan food trucks, and free cat and dog adoptions. Admission is free and the event will run from 5pm to 10pm. RSVP at sfspca.org/catwalk.

"Being able to share simplicam videos of adoptable animals on our social media networks will help encourage adopters to visit our shelters," said Krista Maloney, SF SPCA spokesperson. "We're excited about the potential that this partnership has to help our shelter animals quickly find loving homes."
