Exabeam named "Cool Vendor" in Security Intelligence by Analyst Firm Gartner

Exabeam, a provider of user behavior intelligence, today announced its debut inclusion in the list of "Cool Vendors in Security Intelligence, 2015i" report by Gartner (News - Alert), Inc. Exabeam believes this recognition affirms its proven technology and ability to detect real-world attacks using behavior analytics.

In addition to this Gartner designation, Exabeam has experienced considerable momentum in the last quarter. In February this year, the company announced general availability of Exabeam 1.6, its out-of-the-box solution that applies user behavior intelligence in real time to leverage security information and event management (SIEM) data and quickly identify hackers using stolen credentials to move through a network. Earlier this month, the company announced cyber technology evangelist Barry Shteiman as its head of Exabeam Labs.

"Debuting as a Gartner 2015 'Cool Vendor' in security intelligence when we were in beta just last year, we feel, is a testament to the need for user behavior intelligence solutions while validating our specific approach," said Nir Polak, CEO of Exabeam. "Almost no other organization currently has a product or strategy for detecting attackers using stolen credentials to steal data directly or to enable malware as their proxy. Aross over 40 deployments and multiple verticals, we've been able to provide the visibility organizations need to see movements of attackers that have gotten past traditional detection solutions while creating operational efficiencies across the security operations team."

User behavior analytics (UBA) providers, such as Exabeam, are transforming security intelligence through their ability to detect anomalous credential behaviors and access characteristics, and identify attackers. Exabeam's machine learning functionality goes a step beyond traditional UBA abilities by performing Stateful User Tracking™ and user session assembly to automatically track and present a timeline of all user activities from log on to log off, including attacker identity switches and IP address changes. The Exabeam solution is installed and working within hours, allowing users to learn from day one and providing value quickly by eliminating the need for complex installation or training requirements.
