Ramos to Take Part in CeBIT Australia in Move to Tap Australia Market

SHENZHEN, China, April 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Ramos, a well-known Shenzhen, China-based tablet manufacturer and Intel's first global tablet partner, has been aggressive in expanding into global markets and keeping in touch with its overseas' customers by taking part in a variety of international exhibitions and conferences. Ramos will take part in CeBIT Australia, which will be held in Sydney between the 5^thand the 7^thof May, for the first time, in a move to pave the way for its foray into the Australian market. Ramos plans to showcase new products such as tablets powered by latest Intel Core M chip and phone call tablets powered by a Qualcomm chip.

Ramos exhibited a series of tablets with different configurations and working off various operating systems at the Global Sources Electronics held in Hong Kong in mid-April and its tablets capable of simultaneously handling two operating systems received high attention from global buyers at the event. Ramos vice president Danna Lu said during an interview that Ramos, one of core members of Intel CTE Program, will continue to enhance its cooperation with Intel and Microsoft and to provide more premium products an services for customers both in China and globally. Previously, Ramos's two-in-one tablet, M12, became an eye-catcher during the Intel Solutions Summit 2015 held in Dubai, again demonstrating that Ramos' competence in research, development and design has been recognized by global peers. The 11.6-inch M12 is powered by Intel Core M 5Y10 and features the free-fan design and an adjustable-pitch holder.

Established in Shenzhen in 2001, Ramos was initially dedicated to R&D and manufacture of digital A/V players. Ramos is Intel's first global tablet partner. Cumulative sales volume of one of its products has exceeded 6 million units in China. The firm struck the partnership with Intel in 2012 and they jointly launched W32, the world's first X86 tablet. Ramos partnered with Intel in launching the world's first tablet operating on both the Android and Windows systems, i10 pro, in April 2014, taking the lead in development of dual-system tablets.

In addition to consumer tablets, Ramos aggressively expanded its line of industry-specific applications in 2014 and successfully tapped into several sectors including finance, education and hospitality. The firm has cooperated with China Unicom, one of the country's largest wireless carriers. In response to fierce competition in the tablet market, Ramos is also planning to roll out its first mobile phone in June in a move to expand its product line. Ramos' handsets are likely to be powered by a high energy density battery, according to media coverage.
