Ubisense Achieves Record Sales Growth of myWorld

Ubisense Group plc (AIM: UBI), a leader in enterprise location intelligence solutions, gained measurable traction in 2014 among communications service providers (CSPs), and gas and electric utilities in North America. Ubisense closed more than 120 deals in the second half of 2014, driving record sales growth of Ubisense myWorld. The web and mobile enterprise platform provides greater operational visibility and decision support to utilities and CSPs enabling them to meet compliance, increase service reliability and decrease operational costs.

Ubisense myWorld integrates data from multiple sources - existing GIS products, other enterprise systems and external information - into an integrated view of network performance and operations. With this level of insight customers can optimize operations, meet regulatory compliance and provide enhanced customer service.

"The largest communications and utility companies have a significant amount of network asset data which is locked up in GIS and other legacy enterprise systems," said Jay Cadman, vice president of networks industry strategy, Ubisense. "Ubisense developed myWord to access these multiple data sources and deliver insights in a flexible, secure and easy-to-use interface. This enables enterprise users who need this information to recover more quickly from natural disasters, and drive higher levels of network uptime and customer satisfaction."

For example, Central Hudson, a New York State regulated electric and gas utility, selected Ubisense enterprise location intelligence products to reduce critical infrastructure vulnerabilities related to storm outages.

"Our customers are our priority," said Charles A. Freni, senior vice president of customer services at Central Hudson. "We want to ensure their safety and restore their service as quickly as possible during outages, and Ubisense's location intelligence technology provides us with the tools we need to make that happen. With Ubisense myWorld and Ubisense Damage Assessment, we will gain visibility across our organization so we can closely monitor service areas and our infrastructure to ensure we are providing the best possible service to our customers."

Another myWorld customer, Comporium, a CSP (News - Alert) headquartered in South Carolina, chose Ubisense myWorld to streamline engineering, proactively address network issues, enhance customer service and achieve greater operational efficiencies. Comporium is currently in the deployment phase and anticipates full implementation in Q3 of this year.

"We chose Ubisense myWorld to enhance how we do business," said Mike Deller, vice president of engineering & planning, Comporium. "With a much deeper and broader level of insight into our operations and network performance, we can further optimize field work, service delivery and customer support. With beta deployment, we are already seeing how myWorld allows us to identify and fix potential network issues before they become problems ensuring our customers receive the very best service and support possible. This is always our goal."
