Icontrol Networks Appoints Two Smart Home Industry Veterans to Company Leadership

Formerly serving as the vice president of product management at Icontrol, McLaren has more than 15 years of diverse marketing, product development and business leadership experience in the technology and energy industries. She is a member of the Sustainable Buildings Working Group with the Clinton Global Initiative and frequently speaks at industry events like TiECon, Apps World and CONNECTIONS. In her new role as CMO, she will be responsible for product expansion and corresponding marketing strategies to allow Icontrol to continue as the leader in the connected home space.

Gates has more than 20 years of experience managing both hardware and software product lifecycles, and previously served as the senior vice president of engineering at Icontrol. Prior to joining Icontrol in 2010, Gates co-founded telecommunications technology companies Essenel and AudioTalk Networks, and served in engineering and operational roles at First Virtual Corporation, ShareVision Technology and Creative Labs.
